Ah, o'well.. I will come up with a better one in the future. I think I will discard all three until I can get it right Thank you so much for the constructive criticism.. I appretiate it greatly.

They slaughter them because they are "in the way". Though there ARE some slaughter houses that slaughter horses for meat.. though it's still wrong. And those certain slaughter houses that slaughter them because they are "in the way" usually sell the remains to glue and dog/cat food factories amungst other things.

actually, in a way, I agree with horse slaughter, as long as it's humainly done. Sometimes it's better just to kill the horse and use it for dog food or cat food, it's not fair for the animal to suffer. I don't agree if they kill the horse just because they're in the way, though they still do it, like with race-horses in some countries. I believe in second chances, but if theres no hope then, for God's sake, just put the animal out of it's misery, and sometimes the person can't afford to put the animal down correctly so they send them to slaughter, fine, as long as the animal is comfortable while being transported and isn't suffering. In England they have portable slaughters where the butcher will come out to the house and slaughter the animal for you right there, usually done with turkeys and the such. but that's just me and my opinion. I don't want to be flamed or bashed. that's just me, i'm not forcing anyone to agree with me or whatever. that's just what I beleive and such. ^^'

Don't worry I'm deffinantly not going to bash you. That's your opinion and you are entitled to it completely. I know some others who are against horse slaughter.. and those are the type of people that make this houses work. Though what you are thinking about horse slaughter is not reality. A "humain" horse slaughter does not exist. Yes, maybe the high dollar race horses get it easy after being injured in a race or during practice or what not. But in reality horses, wheather they are suffering, injured, or completely healthy do NOT get it easy. It is different for someone to come out to one's house and kill a horse oposed to the actualy slaughter houses. When you go to a slaughter house there are hundreds of horses in small pens that get shoved through squeezing shoots into a shooting pen. That is where the "gun man" aims a very large gun similar to a nail gun to the horse's head and hopes to kill it in the first try. Several times the nail wont kill the horse and it is subjected to many mores tries by the "gun man" until it is eventually dead. Though the rest is still horrible to see and horrible to hear about at least the horse is dead and doesn't have to feel anything it is still wrong. But while horses are transprted to the slaughter houses they often die because of the conditions in the trailer. A lot of times horses are coming from very far away and the drivers don't stop for the horses to get out to eat or drink, for they think it a waist because the horses are going to die anyways. Then the horses that are still living get drug from the trailers. Most are terrified because they can smell the blood. They are flight animals, not fight. A horse would rather turn and run away from something dead or dying rather than approach. And if you cold imagine the smell of the decaying bodies and blood, you would understand that horses thoughts, emotions, and instincts. Once they are drug from the trailer they are put in the worst possile conditions in the pens. Hundreds of horses are in single pens fighting over food and drink while most the time in knee deep mud, urine and dung. Then the process begins that I stated above.

thank you. yes I know what you are saying (I watched a video on youtube...[a real amazing thing I could watch the whole thing actually >.<]) Yeah horses are flight animals, we had a horse die at our house of old age and our two geldings wouldn't go anywhere near her, my mare on the other hand couldn't care less, we're not really sure why she wasn't affected like the geldings but she just didn't really care that much. (of course we buried the mare that day with a bakchoe) yeah the conditions they keep the horses in should be a lot better, but of course the slaughter won't listen to the common people who own these magnificent creatures. but what we can do is all the help the animals need.
